I have bad anxiety i no that so here goes. Just over a month ago i had acrylic nails done and one night i went out got drunk and the next morning i woke up and it looke like i had trapped my middle finger but i cant remember doing anything, there was a little red dots on the inside and the a cut just under the finger nail on the skin. I forgot about it and a week later i woke up and on the first joint near the nail i had a lump on the bone it was very painful but didnt no what i had done. Im worried that its infected although the doctor said no. Its a purpley bump now. I keep getting lower back pain all across the bottom also got really sore foot and ankle and really itchy ears. I dont no if it is all connected im just worried i will get sceptacimia. Has anyone got any advice please im petrified its been over a month now
Get a blood test done, that would be the best way to rule out that and put your mind at ease.
Your GP has explained what the problem is, trust him and move on.
Your problem seems to be Anxiety and if that is the case and you are unsettled and you are questioning His diagnosis either see another GP in Practice for a scond opinion.
Check NHS CHOICES and look up your Practice, it generally tells what Specialisations the partners undertake. Choose the one who you feel will approach your concerns. If all is ok, trust your GP and move on He may in fact ask for tests to settle your concerns. If that happens trust your results

I also get what your going through, I just left my drs with a burning throat and feels like I got a lump in it when I swallow sometimes, she said it was pharyngitis and they did a strep test that came back neg but will send it out for further testing to make sure its negative, obviously with health anxiety I called bull on it immediately and said there's gotta be something else wrong because my lymph nodes are swollen but when talking to my wife she said the dr was thorough and I should trust her to which I relied yea well my throats is on fire and swollen lymphs usually means an infection of some sort even though deep down I know she's prolly right and that's all it is I just gotta accept that for the truth and think I am starting to already, if I'm no better by nov 4th i already have another app scheduled for a med check visit and will revoice my concern then but for now I'll have to trust her and hope it gets better soon I just wanted you to know your not alone in that thinking
