I started fluxotine 6 weeks ago first two weeks on 20mg which wasn't to bad then was told to up to 40mg which was a complete nightmare side effects were that bad I ended up the doctors 3 times and a@e twice 100% thought I was dieing lasted a week then advised to go back to 20mg which I've been on now for 3 weeks I'm starting to feel a bit better but still can't sleep maybe 1 hour a night if I'm lucky so what I'm trying to ask is dropping down to 20mg is it like starting all over again as the side effects are driving me mad today I started to get a weird pain in my chest sort of shortness of breath
Hi Marc the side effects can be worse than what your taking them for I started on 40 ok at first then very anxious increased to 60 3weeks ago having lots of chest pain but reading up it’s anxiety most users are saying it can take 12 weeks I must admit I feel more settled and do have ok days not great ones sleep is a little better have taken Prozac before with great results so that is what I’m holding on too good luckx

When you drop back down it takes about a week to get back to where you were. The side effects are very challenging up until about 12 weeks. Once your over 12 weeks, going up or down is not as bad. It seems like forever, but time will go by. I just try to keep busy.
