Since mid-late December I have been having severe anxiety which quickly turned to health anxiety. Heart issues to melanoma to liver cancer to colon cancer and now Pancreatic Cancer. I am 18 and I did the math and saw the stats so I know how rare pancreatic cancer is in people under 40 (especially under 18). But back in January I had a slightly elevated liver enzyme (alt 73 everything else was pretty normal) and then I found out that elevated liver enzymes can mean pancreatic cancer. I wouldn't automatically assume that but apparently I had a great grandfather who had it (he was older though and my dad said he thinks it was due to pesticides he worked with) and my stool has been weird (light brown/orangish color and weird smelling) since my anxiety began and I am losing weight. Do you think I would have abdomen pain or jaundice by now? Please help and thanks. Also my stool has been "normalish lately
Your stool color can be weird colored if you're dehydrated or due to foods you've eaten. I have health anxiety too, so I understand what it's like to be a hypochondriac. If you're really worried, maybe set up an appointment and ask them to run tests if you're extremely worried! Best wishes to you!
Hi Trevor. Its understandable that you have health anxiety as most of us with severe anxiety worry constantly about what may be wrong with us. I am forever worrying that I have terrible diseases which makes my anxiety worse. I had an abnormal liver reading with my last blood test and my dr said its probably because I am overweight and its fat around my liver but I still worry as I feel I am at an age now where things start to go wrong with my body. As for your stool colour well mine is all sorts of colours at times and last night it was green. Ive had yellow and orange and light brown and dark brown and foul smelling. It is dependant mostly on what you eat and sometimes digestive upsets can do it also as I have bad heart burn at times. Are you eating properly as this is most likely why you are losing weight and I know my anxiety either stops me from eating makes me over eat or makes me eat too much rubbish. If you are really concerned talk to your dr and have some tests done but I am pretty sure its not cancer especially pancreatic cancer. Take care.
