Hi everyone. I have has a really sore tip of my nose on and off for a few months. Has anyone else had this problem. I have GCA+PMR and wonder if there is a link to prednisolone.
It feels like a boil and swollen but nothing else.

Please don't put everything down to GCA and PMR, if you have a sore nose and it is bothering you - ask your Pharmacist, GP or Consultant.
Wendy, you could try bathing it a couple of times a day with salt water, but preferably I think you should see your GP in case it needs a course of ointment to clear it.
And a third voice to the chorus - you can't blame everything on PMR and pred!
If you hadn't got GCA/PMR or weren't on pred what would you have done? Run it past the pharmacist if you don't want to go to the GP straight away or if you are going to have to wait weeks for an appointment (it obviously isn't urgent if you've had it for months) but do get it looked at.

My problems started with a very 'Itchy' nose. Don't know whether it was the beginning of the PMR, or more likely the first signs of pernicious Anaemia!
However as everyone says; have it checked out.
