Really struggling

Hi I am new here just hoping someone might be able to reassure. I am 59 post menopause woman and am struggling with so many meno symptoms but at the moment I am coping with daily dizziness and unbalanced feeling. waves of dizziness even when sitting. Have had ecg and Brain scan in past all ok but my anxiety is extreme at the moment and I can’t seem to think rationally. I suffer with health anxiety so of course my mind goes straight to the worst possible scenario and googling is probably not a good idea as I have convinced myself that I have something awful going on in my brain. I am feeling so alone and depressed .

hi,
I too suffer from health anxiety. for me every symptom is cancer or something crazy like that. I got diagnosed with fatty liver recently and it has dominated my thoughts anytime I have a symptom. this morning I got sweaty and weak and had a full on anxiety attack.
I’ve had several rounds of blood work and many other tests ran with no negative findings aside from the fatty liver.
I was doing very well for months and now it looks like I’m dead in the middle of a blip. the only thing i can tell you is that you’re not alone and feel free to reach out to people. this forum is a great support system if you dont have one in person.

Hi Eleni1960, Hang in there. You are not alone. I’ve had the dizziness for almost a year and a half. I’ve just started on an anti-histamine hydroxyzine. That is used to treat anxiety which if treated helps to ease vertigo like symptoms. It’s been the only thing to help me. Along, with that I take an estrogen blocker that is starting to provide me energy and over the counter dayquil is actually helping me. I don’t know if it’s lowering inflammation but, it’s helping. If your having any trouble sleeping. Talk to your doctor about that. The insomnia I had was not letting me get the restful sleep I needed to help recover from these peri symptoms. I believe the estrogen blocker is helping though. I’m getting to sleep much earlier and I’m starting to feel better slowly. You will get through this.
