recent changes

I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about the pain that I was experiencing. Since then I have tried a number of different things that have changed how I am feeling. I recently got taken to hospital for the pain that I was in and the only thing that they said to me was that they could give me buscopan and to go home. I found that for a few days the pain didn't go away, I started to take buscopan tablets and these helped me a bit. Over the last week or two, the pain that I had has subsided, I think that this May be because of having less stress in my life, by relieving the stress of has helped me an awful lot. I know during work it is hard to have little stress but having it reduced has certainly helped.

I don't know how long it is going to last this time before the pain starts again, but hopefull it will be a long time.

I haven't seen your previous posts so might be completely barking up the wrong tree. If so, apologies. My view is if you are having pain and making no progress you need to change gastro and see someone who will take you more seriously. Have you been diagnosed with anything? What are your symptoms and what tests have you has done

I have been told that I have ibs, been to different doctors and they all say that there is nothing that they can do. I have been told that I have polycystic ovaries that also will coincide with I. I have been tested for coeliacs disease and that came bag negative by lungs and bloody cells have also been tested so I would assume that I'd for cancer? They all came back negative.

Have you been tested for lactose intolerance or for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (the latter is the main cause of IBS and you will feel better after antibiotics)? Have you considered keeping a food diary to try and pin point when you have symptoms and match it up with what you have eaten in the last day? Doesn't sound like you have had a colonoscopy or endoscopy. Are these doctors all GPs or are any of them specialist gastros? I had a digestion problem myself and it only got resolved by the third consultant gastro I saw. If it is IBS it is likely caused by small intestinal bacterial overgrowth which should be treated with antibiotics and thereafter you need to follow a low FODMAP diet. You might also benefit from a high quality probiotic. I use Symprove which is very good but also quite expensive (still think it is well worth it) - there is some good info on Symprove on this website.
