Hello, so as the title says I have recently been diagnosed with Balanitis by my urologist. After 4 months of dealing with this I finally have clarification on what i am dealing with.
However i have been using canesten and daktacort cream to try and treat it and neither have helped, so my urologist has suggested that I continue using the cream for the next 10 days and that if this doesnt work then circumcision may be the only thing to fix the issue.
are there any home remedies any of you have used to treat balanitis at all? I’m stressing over the fact that I may be circumcised as it’s not really the outcome I had hoped for and I dont want to have go through the surgery to have it done.
I’m at the end of my rope as after trying for so long I have really been told that it may be out of my hands, and I’m worried about the future.
I will try anything logical to try and clear this issue, I just need to know what I can do, please help.

Circumcision is a riduculous suggestion - sounds like they are after earning their fee. Balanitis is a very common condition it is easily treated with the correct medication.

You have been told that ‘it is / may be out of your hands’ - is completely unacceptable, it is your body YOU decide what happens to it, you decide which medical professionals you will see
