Recliner Lift Chair

What do hipsters think of reclining lift chairs to use during recovery?  Seems to me they assist you in getting in and out of the sitting position easily and correctly.  Once in the sitting or lying position is it good positioning for recovery?  Looks comfortable?  Will be getting done in a week or so and looking to make it comfortable.  Thanks.

Hi Todd, I am 22 days post op and would say unless you already have this chair I wouldn't waste money on buying it as after the first few days getting in and out of a chair is Good exercise for your muscles. My physio encourages me to move about ad much as possible. If your have a comfy chair at home try and raise it to a suitable height and you should be fine with that. Good luck with your surgery

I am 2 weeks post thr and I use my recliner all the time, I put a pillow on it to sit on helps getting in and out and is soft on my butt.

I already had the chair which i bought for my mum, but i have found it fantastic.  Only used the lift up part for a couple of weeks, but it was so much easier than trying to get out of a normal chair, and i still use the recliner position every time i sit in it, you can do your foot and leg excercises while reclining - easier than getting on and off the bed or floor.  My friend also found it good for sleeping in as she couldn't sleep on her back.  So i would say if you can afford it and have room for it then it's a good investment.
