Hello to all. I haven't been on in a while because my hypochondria/anxiety have gotten a lot better. These past few days I've been feeling a bit more anxious but nothing like before. For the past hour or so I've been feeling a little nauseous and like my food is right there, you know? Sorry if TMI. Can anyone else relate?
The nausea is stemming from your nerves/anxiety ,have you tried breathing exercises ? i do them two to three times a day or when i have that sensation of anxiety building up and their is even apps you can find on your mobile devices ,i use an app called breath and it does wonders ,i hope this helps .
I’m glad you’re feeling better. what did you find helpful? I’m still in the thick of it with debilitating anxiety.
I have been drinking herbal tea from Adagio (Rooibos vanilla,40 winks, chamomile) along with my breathing exercises to help me remain calm and i am currently taking lexapro ,though i still have to keep myself busy so that my mind don’t wander into mayhem reading, listening to music, adult coloring book, conversations (talk about your issue with anxiety and don’t be ashamed to open up) i take a nice walks in the morning and on weekends i hit the gym to blow off some steam to help curve any pent up stress .
I enjoy going to the movies ,its my get away from reality and puts my mind at ease ,though these things i suggest might not work for everyone but i truly hope things get better for you pasta girl and that i at least had something to do with it .
I think you have to give it time. I started taking lexapro I think that helped a lot. I also starting seeing a psychologist and doing meditation/exercise. I hope you feel better. ![]()
I will meet my psychologist for the first time in the morning and what kind of meditation exercises does work for you ,i personally never tried ,but i am curious.
Sounds like you are doing well and i hope each day only get better in time .
Hey guys! Just stumbled upon your posts… I highly recommend reading the book “Anxiety & Phobia Workbook (6th edition)”. I read this book last year, while seeing my therapist regularly, and I fully believe both the book and therapy helped my anxiety A LOT. The book is so interesting and soo reassuring, I wish I’d read it years ago. It teaches u breathing techniques and exercises, and it gives u a link to their website with audio meditation exercises that I found very helpful, too. Just fig I’d mention =)
