Hello eddie. I would think after 3 rectocele repairs it's unlikely because it sounds as though your pelvic floor is just too weak to repair. Were your previous operations performed by a Urogynaecologist as apposed to a gynaecologist?
Hi matron.
They were done by a gynaecologist.
What other choices do i have. At the moment having a BM is like giving birth i have to move it into position
I presume you are in the UK. It is more usual now for a Urogynaecologist to perform prolapse surgery. That is a gynaecologist with an extra qualification that takes at least 2 years (usually more) to gain and it's intensive training. If I were you I'd do some research and look for Urogynaecologists in your area or health trust, see if there are any reviews and if he/she works in private practice. Private hospitals usually have a good write up about their consultants so you'll hopefully see how experienced they are. You'll then be able to find which NHS hospital they practice at. A lot if Urogynaecologists now have specialised physiotherapists and nurse consultants working in their team who can support and give advice. There are new methods of repairing prolapses in the pipe line so ask to see a Urogynaecologist and they will be able to tell you your options. It could be that he/she can undertake another repair. If you're finding it difficult to find a Urogynaecologist in your area, send me a personal message and I'll help if I can x
Hi matron
I am actually in Tasmania Australia.
I have done some research for urogynacolofists in tasmania.
I have a GP appointment next week
Good because you shouldn't have to suffer like that. Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
Did u get mesh band
Hi dianelou.
i think i have had mesh . I am really bad and dont take particular notice
its my 3rd time so no doubt i would have had it.
thank you will keep you posted
In the UK only a select number of Urogynaecologists are allowed to use mesh in prolapse surgery and a gynaecologist wouldn't be allowed under NHS guidelines , I'm not sure how it works in Australia.
So ur name is Eddie
U had major as urgery n don't know what they did.r u serious
I know what I had dianelou. Is this question for eddie? 😘
Yes for eddie
It's just that you replied to me not eddie
Sorry just trying to get help but to no avail, cause none of my question s are being answered
I don't understand what a medicine smell is, if I did I'd probably be able to help but obviously your GP knows what you mean and you're having a urine test.
yep punishment for not being a boy !!!!
I have had 3 so i am not sure which ones they used. i had mesh twice and the third time he told me he was using something stronger yeah right!!!
