Rectocele recovery issue

Hi all, I am 49 years old and am 12 days post op after a vaginal rectocele repair using a (pig skin) patch.  I know there is a better name for that patch but it has slipped my mind.  About a week prior to my operation I went back to my doctor concerned that I might have a newly developed cystocele. I wasn't leaking urine or any of the typical cystocele symptoms, but when I would splint to use the rest room, after emptying my bladder (or so I believed), the pushing on my perineum area would cause more urine to spill out all over my hand. My doctor confirmed that I did now have a small cystocele, but only a 1-2 and not one that he usually operates on.  I did wonder since he was going to be in there anyway why he didn't just fix it and make it a zero, but trusted that he knew what he was talking about.  I asked him if it would get worse, and he said it might, but that it could take weeks, months or even 20 years if it did.  So I left his office satisfied and one week later I had my rectocele repair.  Recovery has been what I suppose is normal, EXCEPT...is it normal for my bladder to be leaking urine post op for a rectocele repair?  In the first couple of days post op I was concerned about this but told myself I was just bleeding. As the blood has slowed down though it is apparent that I am randomly leaking urine, it is not brought on by coughing or laughing etc... I'm confused though because the doctor did nothing to my bladder or urethra other than a catheter.  Anyone else experience this and will it stop?  I'm already thrilled with the results of my rectocele repair, and am hoping that 1-2 cystocele hasn't suddenly become an issue. Thanks for any personal experience you have to share!

Hello tlee. I had a repair using the pig skin patch like you. But to answer your question, no I don't think it's normal to leak urine. I would speak to your doctor.

Wouldn't think its normal to leak urine. Do get back on to your doctor

Yes definitely speak to your doctor . I've noticed since being catheterized that I dont seem to totally void my bladder, which seems a common after effect, and I'm told it should bet back to normal soon . just hoping I dont get a UTI now .
