Hello, Since the beginning of August I have had tonsillitis on and off. 4th August -I had an awful sore throat and white spots and was given 7 days of penicillin. 13th august - The tonsillitis returned and I was given clarithromycin! However I was in an extreme amount of pain and visited EDT. I was told I didn't have quinsy and I was sent home. I continued to take the clarithromycin and tramadol for the pain. 23rd August The tonsillitis returned again and by the 26th August the pain was so extreme I couldn't open my mouth, move my head, talk, eat or drink. I returned to the hospital on the 28th August and by the 29th I was diagnosed with quinsy and had the abscess in my throat drained! I was prescribed 10 days penicillin, metronidazole and a mouthwash! I finished the antibiotics last night and yet have looked at my throat this morning and I have more white spots on my tonsils! I am absolutely fed up with this now can someone please help?
