Hello, I’ve had This red bump on my penis for about 3 weeks. It’s itchy and I’m not sure what it is. I’m married and have not cheated on my wife. Is it something she could have given me?

is it filled with pus or liquid?

i think you should check with a doctor… could be HSV, could be something else.

before you go blaming, I think you should get it diagnosed.

out of interest, do you or your wife get coldsores?

if it has not changed in 3 weeks it is probably unlikely its HSV though.

Could you take a few more photos, face-on and closer? And are you sure there’s just one lump; isn’t there a smaller lesion next to it?

Yes there is 2 but only one is bright red

I’m inclined to think they could be molluscum contagiosum (Google). Check your bumps against this close-up photo of molluscum from Dermnet NZ. Does yours look similar, smooth bumps with a small dimple (umbilication) in the middle?

Molluscums are a viral STD, so you should get it checked and have screening for other infections. They’re fairly easy to treat.
