I have had these red bumps on the shaft of my penis for about a week. it started out as one and then more appeared. I am not currently sexually active. is this anything i should be worried about?

Could it be you have scratched at them quite a bit as there seems to be broken skin generally on them?
Just thinking about what these are: is it possible you have shared towels or even clothing with anyone in the last few weeks … ?
when the first one showed up i thought it was a pimple so i tried to pop it, which would explain the broken skin.

i started using a hydrocortisone steroid cream on them yesterday and i think its working.
i’m just worried it may be something more serious that i should be getting checked by a doctor. I’ve looked up a lot of stuff online and can’t seem to find anything that looks quite the same.

And yes, it does not look like anything in particular - and yes I understand a steroid will likely have a positive impact - what you need to know is what caused them in the first place
