I have this red mark right next to my urethra and above my vaginal opening- its flat, and almost looks like a cut you'd get from a shoe that's too tight. Not inflamed, or filled with liquid, and it only hurts when touched. I noticed it a few days after rough sex with my boyfriend. What could it be?? (Once I figure out how to upload pics I'll post some)
I think it's just a simple cut caused by rough sexual intercourse. It can heal on its own within a couple of days. You should wash your vagina with warm water once to twice a day, avoid using harsh or perfumed soaps, keep your vagina dry and clean, wear cotton underwear or loose clothing until it's healed. If this cut causes you a lot of pain and discomfort, you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Ask a doctor or pharmacist for help.
It's better to wash the vagina with only warm water than with chemical products. Beside upsetting vaginal pH and consequently killing off beneficial microbiota, these chemical products could cause cancer in the long run.
