anything trigger it? ive got similar issues and doctors dont want to help. what creams have you tried?
last throw of the dice for me im seeing alrivate urologist and gastro specialist in the next couple of weeks, so hoping for answers.
Chin up.
i can understand how much mental trauma these rash can cause. I myself suffering from last 3 months. how old are you? if it's been a year n nothing has worked, have you considered doing a biopsy?
honestly mate i have no idea, literally dread looking at it in the morning its terrible ! tried vaseline, coconut oil, e45, sudocrem, eumovate cream, fucibet cream. would you say urologist then or dermatoloigist?
what would a biopsy do and where would i go to get one and 25
dont do a biopsy!! i've been suffering from the exact rash for some years now and this year decided to finally undergo a glans biopsy. It came back with "non-specific alterations" (so no psoriasis, no zoon balanitis, no diagnose). what have worked best for me is Mupirocin + Aquaphor applied twice daily for 2 weeks. it can get the rash disappear but eventually will come back. you cn also use fucidin instead of mupirocin. what symptoms do you have? mine is almost asymptomatic with some subtle discomfort (some itching/burning, but very subtle)
but biopsy will give the exact diagnosis of the problem. such as Whether its something serious or just some sort of allergy or something else. He tried whole lots of different creams n medication which is not helping. That's what i think. I'm curious, why you are saying no to biopsy?
Not sure to be honest both could give you an insight, if its just the rash then maybe a derm? but id see both to try and get sorted.
that was exactly my thougth: "i will finally know what's going on down there". unfortunately it came back with "non - specific alterations" so i'm now back to square one with an unclear diagnose (right now the diagnose is atopic dermatits). But yes, biopsy gives you the calm that is nothing serious but it will leave you a non-aesthetic scar on the glans (I now have a little depression on my glans and the scar is clearly whiter than the sourrounding skin). it will surely get better with time but my initial problem was purely aesthetic (red irritated patch on the glans) and after biopsy it only got worse (red patch PLUS a little hole and white scar). so give it a think prior the biopsy.
Okay I do Understand what you mean.
But since I'm having similar issue and also causing me lot of mental stress. So, I read some research papers on how penile rashes have been treated. In many papers it was mentioned that they had to do two biopsies, as the first one was inconclusive. In second biopsy they found the exact cause and then treated accordingly. There was a lot of time gap between 2 biopsies.
As far as I'm concerned, I'm okay with that small scar of biopsy (cuz it'll heal with time) but it'll definitely reduce my mental stress about this rash.
so is a biopsy somethjng you would reccomend to do?? is any of you circumsied ? do you reckon that could fix it?
uncircumcised here, and also thinking about it. however, for me its a last resort. If i can avoid it, then definetely i will.
and yes, the scar (3 months since biopsy) is not a problem for me, I mean, I can live with it but i would prefer to not have it done, however the main problem still is this stupid red patch.
anyone of you have tried pimecrolimis/tacrolimus? I rode a lot about them when I was convinced that my issue was Zoon balanitis, however, biopsy came back negative so the dermatologist did not pursued with any treatment rather than emollients.
Yeah, I'm circumcised. I don't know biopsy would fix it or not but you have more chance of finding out the exact cause of your problem.
For me the biopsy will be the last option before that I'm going to try whole lot of medicines available from allopathy. After that will try homeopathic n Ayurvedic treatment.
No, I haven't tried pimecrolimis n tacrolimus yet. but I've read they worked for many people. I tried clobetasol as suggested by my urologist, it didn't work.
I also used CBD oil on my rash. it gave me some relief for a while. such as the skin on the rash got peeled off twice n it became a little fainter than it used to be. The CBD oil I used has 99% coconut oil n 1% CBD extract. So, I don't know it was because of CBD oil or the rash was naturally healing.
Anyway, if nothing works then I'll go for biopsy. That's the last option. :)
Also, to reduce this mental stress of rash, I'm trying meditation from last few days. It does help a little.
hahahaha it's funny because I also started doing meditation some months ago. it really helps to stay positive and calm. If there is one positive thing that i can rescue from all of this is all the mental health knowledge that i have acquired.
Here is one guy from this forum itself, who had found the exact cause of the problem with biopsy and cured it according to treatment.

then go ahead with biopsy my friend. What does suspect your doctor? mine was suspecting psoriasis or zoons balanitis, that's why we did it (the justification). the procedure last less than 10 minutes and I never experienced any pain, during it and later. i had have morning erections and nothing, no pain. good luck and update us on the results!
