Red rash on the glans

Hi, I have been having this red rash next to the glans corona for a couple of years. it is sometimes less red sometimes more. Does anyone know what it could be?From time to time the glans burns a little or maybe that is only psychological. I have been tested for STDs, it came all negative. (I currently do not have a sexual partner) Last year I had a balanophostitis (huge red rash on the foreskin) my GP first prescribed a antifungal cream to put on the glans and the foreskin but the only thing it did was to make it worst. Only a steroid cream worked on the foreskin. I have been trying to use use again antifungal cream for the past 2 weeks but the redness is still there. Should I switch to oral pills (like fluconazole) ? I went to the doctor today he took a surface sample to see if it a yeast infection or not. Thanks !

I’m not a doctor. However, I think this looks like possible balantis or yeast. Any word on what your doctor has said?

Doctor prescribed Econazole cream (Antifungal) for 2 weeks, but it did not anything at all.
Also, a surface sample has been analyzed but the results did not show any fungal infection. (I am taking antibiotics, could these possibly have made the results inaccurate?)
Otherwise I was thinking that It could be a bacterial infection.
Any thoughts?
