For the past ~10 years I have randomly gotten small cherry Angiomas on my penis when I masturbate a lot. The first time it happened, I got it checked out and the doctor told me that’s what they were. I had outpatient surgery to cauterize them. They scabbed up and were replaced with scar tissue. The subsequent times they’ve come up, I’ve done it myself with a lighter and paper clip since the angiomas are always very small (maybe 1mm x 1mm). Every time (maybe 5x total) everything’s gone the same. Burn, scab, scar.
For whatever reason, this time this one didn’t scab up.
I did two spots on the left side of my penis maybe 10-12 days ago and it was looking like it wasn’t going to take (which has happened before, I just needed to do it again), so about 2-3 days later, I re-cauterized them. A couple days after, they were both pretty red/pink around the wound.
By now they are pretty much healed up, but the redness remains and I can’t really seem to find what it could be.
I went to the doctor and they prescribed me an antibiotic, which I’ve been on for two days and I can’t really tell if it’s helping or not.
The only symptom I have is very mild, intermittent itching (which could be from glue from bandaids, neosporin, washing or anything else for all I know). No discharge, no bleeding, no smell, no pain. It’s also hard for me to tell, but I might be seeing some very, very faint redness on the top of the penis as well.
It’s also hard to tell from the picture, but when I shine a light on it, I can see a “shiny” ring around where the wound was, where the redness is. When I run my finger over it, it’s hard to tell if it’s even raised, but the way it looks makes it seem like it is slightly. The other spot is below it by about 5mm and is barely visible unless it’s irritated from washing after a shower, etc.
I have an appointment with a dermatologist next Tuesday but wanted to post here. Thoughts on what this could be?
