this red oval mark on my penis appeared a couple of years ago after oral sex! In the meantime I’ve been to the sexual health clinic and a couple of dermatologist. I’ve been tested negative for std and dermatologist said it doesn’t look like nothing serious and “just to keep an eye on it”.
it’s not painful, not itchy, never had blisters or crusts on it and it’s not getting bigger. to a closer look it appears that it’s composed of capillaries and it seems it’s slowly getting less red but it’s not fading away.
at the sexual health clinic they said it looks like a scar from a friction burn and it’s probably not completely “healing” cause it’s a delicate area. The first dermatology said it may be a dermatitis cause by friction or the results of a phimosis that I had after a candidiasis. the second one said it looks like a psoriasis kind of erythema. they both prescribed an hydrating cream to put on it time to time.
after 2 years the red spot hasn’t disappeared but neither has gotten bigger.
what can it be? since it is composed of blood vessels that disappears for a second when i press it can it be a form of telangiectasia caused by a traumatic friction or does it look like queyrat’s erithoplasia/ lichen planus?
