Red spots on the penis! Help

hi. i have these red spots for nearly 2 years. i have been check for STI and all cames negative. GP gave me clotrimazol and when i use it it dissapear in few days but when i stop using it it comes in different place but same on the head of the penis. is not itchin no pain or other symptoms. please help me. thank you

Hi, this is a specific penile skin issue, the best medical professional to see would be a Dermatologist.
If you have seen a GP after 5 months of seeing this the GP should realise that you need something other than Clotrimazole. Clotrimazole only deals with an infection if it is present, it will NOT help damaged skin to recover sufficiently.
The main complicating factor will be if you are in a regular relationship and you regularly have penetrative sex without using a condom as you may be in a constant situation of having either a yeast / fungal or bacterial infection present on your penile skin.
A dermatologist would assess this, then give you medication based on your current situation - that is, treating any infection that may be present, AND giving you a steroid based ointment to help your skin recover.
PLEASE NOTE: even when you have been assessed correctly and you have the correct medication it will take your penile skin somewhere between 3 and 8 months to recover, as long as no other complications occur during that time.

if i use clotrimazole the spots dissapear in 2-3 days and all looks perfect. if it was skin issue i don t think clotrimazol works so fast

So just to clarify then:

  • you have had these spots for around two years?
  • the only treatment you have used in that 2 years is Clotrimazole, is that correct?
  • the only medical professional you have seen about this is a GP?
  • do you have a regular sex partner and you do not use condoms?
    .
    The essential thing is that any condition that is having a relatively severe impact on the skin over a TWO YEAR period is not going to go anywhere until the SOURCE of the problem is REMOVED and the skin is treated with the most APPROPRIATE medication and the skin is ENABLED to recover. Is this what you want to happen?
