Is this just one of those new and delightful symptoms of peri (5 years in)? I've clearly googled it to the max but wondered if anybody else has experienced this..............arrived in the evening, gone by the morning... Apparently could be down to low estrogen - thank you, hormones, AGAIN!

Yup I have the same thing and also it almost feels like it’s burnt so if I have spicy food it makes it feel a whole lot worse all these symptoms just suck plain and simple just know your not alone!!!! I’m a nurse and we didn’t learn hardly anything about perimenopause but learned the endocrine system which is all about hormones my primary dr he also said didn’t learn much in medical school about Peri but I will say he was very knowledgeable even gyns some are so text book that they are like nope can’t be a symptom I’m like wtf!!!! Hahahaha so I know exactly how your tongue feels
Not red but I think I have oral thrush mine looks awful white thick coating 🤮
I have oral thrush too also I have been suffering with mouth ulcers which I get when I am stressed also my gums are sore.

The tip and side of my tongue have been red and sore for about 5 years - sure it is peri.
never found anything that helps - sorry.
