any idea what this could be? is it an sti?

Are you sexually active, if so how recently? Things like this can be caused by a number of things, from infections, damage through rough sex, skin problems due to a variety of potential causes, severe bodily issues such as diabetes, psoriasis and eczema and so on .... Think about what is happening for your penis and what could have potentially caused this .... ? Often, the skin of the head of the penis can develop an intolerance to things it is in regular contact with, and again, these can vary widely - from Lubes, skin creams and baby oil type stuff, to reactions to condoms .....

yes, i had oral sex 3 months ago

I don't think the oral would either cause this or be an issue after 3 months, and look as it is now. It is more likely to be some form of contact dermatitis - as I say, you need to think about everything the penis is in regular contact with, particularly if there has been a change in soap, or lube you may use when masturbating, that can of thing .....

I have had something incredibly similar to what you've shown here for a long time. I mean years. It's changed slightly over the years but never really gone away. I put it down to how I masturbate and now fear I've permanently damaged the skin. I do fear it may become something sinister. How long have you had it and does it worsen after masturbation?

JB, most often these issues are down to long-term exposure to everyday items such as soap and shower gel - eventually the sensitive skin of the head and/or foreskin of the penis develops an intolerance, and from that point onwards basically anything that contacts the intolerant skin will cause further irritation. So yes, sex and masturbation will worsen the reaction in the intolerant skin - and also yes, you CAN develop a permanent skin disorder. I know ALL of this because I have experienced this myself, and, I have an incurable skin disorder. I can detail how to address what you have and minimise further irritation and hopefully, how to avoid the situation developing into something permanent. I would suggest you start your own Forum Post .....
