Hello, so a bit of backstory here: I’ve been suffering this redness of glans for 2 months now, maybe a bit more. I first noticed it after I washed my penis with liquid body wash for gentle skin. The redness is primarily on the rim of penis, mostly on my right side of glans.
At first I thought it might be fungus so I tried Canesten for like 3-4 days but it didn’t work at all.
Since everything was closed due to covid19, my dad has a friend who is derm, and he saw pictures and told that it might be fungus and prescribed me with cream that consists of: 0.5mg bethametasone + 1mg gentamicin + 10mg clotrimazole. I used it for 10 days or so. At first it seemed to help, but the last day my glans just got worse so I stopped.
After that He told me to rinse my glans with Sodium Chloride 3 times a day, and to keep glans completely dry. Coupled with not masturbating for a few weeks, my glans became normal, no redness or anything.
A week ago I stopped rinsing 3 times a day, and masturbated a few times. Today I looked at my glans and the redness returned…
I’m really worried, and will go to derm irl the next week, since the lockdown in my country is over, but I need a piece of mind.
