I'm coming up to 6 weeks post op and about a week ago I started to have a heavy, straw coloured leakage from my vagina. I went to the GP who did an internal, took swabs and a urine sample, everthing was clear. I went back yesterday for a follow up appointment and she did another internal, she said everything looks very good but that she thinks leakage could be urine, though she could not see where it is coming from. So now I have to wait to see surgeon again and I guess it will be scans etc, it is possible that I have a fistula and if that is the case possibly more sugery to correct it Anyone else here had anything like, that can share experiences with me? xxx
nooooooooo.... we do NOT want to here this news
ok... ok... you listen to your dr's... you have the scans... and hey... we've all gone through something major here before... anything now is a PIECE OF CAKE CHICKY! You are SOOOOOOOO strong now... having a hysterectomy I think gives us women STRENGTH... we realize we CAN get through it.. I know what ever is going on... THEY WILL FIX! Just think of it as another "tune-up"
You will be FINE my dear friend!
I am so sad to hear this news... and I will say a prayer for you!
Dad was given a week yesterday... we are getting closer.. there isnt any verbal communication now, and I miss that But I still sing, and talk, and hold his hands.. gosh... early a.m. I almost lost my voice.. but YOU KEEP ON GOING.. YOU DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO...
My father says EVERY DAY YOU WAKE UP, IS A GOOD DAY!
peace & love from your friend in the US

Oh no that's not good news, it's really hard to say what it could be without the scans.....you have definitely done the right thing by getting checked out early.... I don't need to tell you but please take it easy until you get your diagnoses......this is just a minor set back I'm sure...stay strong and were all here for you...I have everything crossed for you xxx

UPSET.. I held his hand over 7 hours this a.m... just bent over the bed.. I am so sore now.. he is tryingto rest now... need to give more meds.. I have this really neat, skinny dropper/syringe.. I crush it, use water and slide it in the side of his mouth.. I dont need to wake him.
oh god.. he's moaning again.. must go.... bye guys.............xoxo
PS... HOPE YOU ALL FEEL BETTER.. SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT "OTHER " ISSUES... BUT YOU GUYS CAN DO IT! YES YOU CAN!
Mary I worry for you, really I do, I know you have to do this but I don't want you to do yourself any harm xx
Hi Luckymum
So sorry, you were doing so well, what a bitter blow. Are they pushing you through quickly to see a surgeon? Really hope so, you just want to be sorted and get back to normal. Life can certainly dish it out.
Fingers crossed you will get seen and put right soon.
Love
Jacqui
Thanks Jacqui, my GP did the referral there and then but I don't know how urgent surgeon will see it xx
It has eased a lot now but it is still there, so something not right x
Hi Luckymum
I am hoping that the Surgeon will put you down as urgent, fingers crossed. It must be so frustrating, when all you want is to get better and back to normal. It is enough to test the patience of a saint!
Hang on in there.

I went to see my consultant yesterday, he did an internal etc and suggested that it might have been a build up of fluid from the op that was stuck behind a blood clot, once the clot dispersed the fluid came away. This fits, as first day I was flooded but since it has been much less. He seems to think that it will stop in the next couple of weeks but is sending me for a scan anyway and then I'll get a follow up appointment with him in a month xxx
That sounds like positive news.....I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx
Hi Luckymum
Fingers crossed for your scan, amazing what can go wrong and cause problems. Hopefully it will all be sorted soon.
Love
Jacqui
