Hi Gang 

15 days post op yesterday had my staples out,I must say they bloody hurt they were so in bedded in my flesh I was sweating lol. Plus a few swear words too came out. Alas my skin them felt so much better slept last night first time without pillow between my legs yay ...

so I am back to sleeping normal in the bed bending the leg is better too without the staples going to do five mins on my bike later but feeling more happy now the staples are out xx

Wow ur doing well my scar was glued but im 4/5 weeks post op and still can't sleep normally. My knee is still swollen stiff and sore so well done you!!!! I wish you a speedy recovery keep up the good work!!

Ha I said to my nurse they will hurt coming out as both sister in law and cousin told me to grab husbands hand for all it was worth - which I duly did so he would share my pain (yes I am that evil) and nurse said it doesn't hurt !!! So after may expletives in husbands pocket and many tears told her it hurt like hell and she was so rude and insulting she was lucky not to end up in A&E with a fat lip

Well at least she did something peg!!! Mine came in RIPPED off my dressing said yes it looks fine and went???? Didnt clean it offer advice or owt??? But my GP nearly got a fat lip lol cos on asking him if I could have stronger pain killers he said NO pain is a state of mind and you need to get used to it!!!!! I was speechless lol oh and pain killer less as well!!!! Have now bought paramol but not working too well!!!!

You need painkillers to cope with the pain your doctor sounds like a real Neanderthal - should have lumped him then he may have prescribed painkillers hospital sent me home with codeine paracetamol and iboprofen plus omeprazole and lactulose which was repeat prescribed by my surgery. If you get paracetamol and ibuprofen (supermarket own cheap and cheerful) that may help. Don't forget to take it easy

I remember well, that was torture, I was screaming like a banshee, the doc had to give me a five minute break before taking the rest out. I will never have staples again.
