I had the screw removed yesterday. No pain. Is it safe to put load on the leg right away? I see my doc in 2 weeks, but want to continue with pilates and physio right away.
I'm due to have screw and plate remove in September the surgeon said he wanted me to full weight bare afterwards but everybody is different he should have told you if it was ok for you to weight bare fully please check with him good luck with your healing regards dawn
Can you phone hospital nurse where you had op? She could ask Dr and get back to you maybe. Physio may know. If your leg wasn't in good shape they wouldn't ve taken out screw.
My leg is so slow to heal, even tho the bone graft has taken, the rest is porous. I'm way behind. Specialist said if I had plate and 6 screws removed, my ankle would crumple, so he had to leave hardware in until it bone gets more dense.

Hello, I am not due to have this screw out until November, were you able to continue with exercise whilst the screw was in place? What did tell procedure consist of?
