Repeated panic attacks!

What do you do when you can't stop having panic attacks, everyone is asleep and you need to get to sleep yourself??

I keep trying to lay down and go to sleep but then get shocked awake by another panic attack, this has been going on for 3 hours!

Meditation and calming music doesn't work for me and I've already take 3 x 40mg propranolol.

Tried listening to a podcast to occupy my mind but it's not working.

I am so sorry that you are going through this, it's hard, I know. I suffered from anxiety attacks too and that is why I decided to publish Anxiety Society by Erich Schmidtz

I wrote this Kindle ebook because I wanted to give people a good understanding on what anxiety attacks are, the symptoms and how to cure them. It has helped so many people and they have said they havent had one attack since.

I am not trying to sell you this book by any means, I am just suggesting it. Everything WILL be ok and I am here for you.

Still awake, the anxiety won't stop.

I don't want to stay awake all night, I'm so close to tears.

What is the root of your panic attacks?  The root must be stopped.

Calming music, meditation, and medication don't really work unless you also help yourself, your mind and body to control the panic attacks.

Here are the things I do when I'm having fits.

1.) I try to tell myself a mantra that everything will be fine if I have hope.

2.) I help myself find solutions instead of not doing anything.

3.) I convert all that negative energy to hobbies such as drawing or writing.

I hope you'll feel better.  Pain is temporary.

So sorry Dannie your suffering like this...I am the same, constant anxiety, I cant leave the house...I find breathing in,through your mouth, let your tummy lift up..hold for 4 secs then exhale slowly through your mouth.for 8 secs.imagine your blowing out all your anxiety...do this for 5 to 10 mins...consentrate on your breathing, at the start you might find your heart beats faster, but keep doing it slowly, and it will calm you down..and make you sleepy..A cup of Calamine tea before bed works too..other than that, I would just take a benzo..lhope your feeling better soon. xxxx

Well you had some fantastic self calm tools you tried. If there was a trigger and you inow it then see if you can apply reationale thought to it. I use epsom salt foor soaks. One cup in a basin of warm eater and soak my feet 20 minutes. Its magnessium and calms the body. Then you need to be honest with yourself and go get a therapist amd see what you can do,p. These thing really suck at times,  three hours is exhausting!  You might want to consider meds. Even if just as needed.
