My 8 year old replacement hip has suddenly started to cause issues. In certain positions/angles, it ‘feels’ like the joint is going to dislocate and then it suddenly ‘snaps’ back into place, causing immense amount of pain.
When this first happened, the person I was with was so concerned with my grey pallor, that they were about to call an ambulance out for me.
Anybody else had this issue and what did they do about it?
OMG mine is only 4 weeks old hope you are ok soon? My journey has been ok ish so far despite scre clickbaiters on youtube almost putting me off https://youtu.be/krOCr92_vos
See you hip surgeon. X-rays or other tests could help with a diagnosis of your symptoms. Sometimes the ball can wear slightly on one side . Or it could be weak muscle or compromised tendons. Any number of factors could be the cause of what you’re experiencing. Sometimes even over doing more than usual can cause what you may be experiencing. I know when I jump in to do something without building up endurance and muscle slowly I have similar pain. Not that ant issue offered us what your experiencing.
Important to see your hip surgeon yearly to evaluate wear and tear on components or other issues that can come up.
