Restarting sertraline.

Hi all,

I went on sertraline 50mg in august 2018 and stayed on the same dose. I were on this for a few years before coming off last year. My anxiety has crept back up and the GP has advised me to go back on sertraline, 25mg for 2 weeks then 50mg going forward.

I am TERRIFIED to start this again, the first 6-8 weeks for me were hell but after lots of perciverence and talking on this forum they worked wonders for me!

So i’m just after some reassurance in my first few weeks or if anyone has started these for a second time and how they felt?

i started for the second time on august 5th at 50mg it was rough for a few weeks with bad side effect which went away after a few weeks , i feel ALOT better then i did when i first started taking them again. i was on 50mg for a few years before and stopped taking them for a few months. i will add that even though im feeling a lot better, i did have to up my dose to 75mg i havent started them yet but im starting them tmr . they will work again for you so dont be scared to start them again, just hanging in there !
