Got my results back today can someone explain what this mean can you tell from a blood test how long you had the virus

I was diagnosed in December 2015 and told me I am 100% of having gential herpes. I take Valtrex once a day 500mg. It's a dark blue pill. Must eat food or without but drink plenty of water to keep you from dehydration.
I'm assuming this was using the HerpeSelect test kit, in which case this is a low positive for HSV2. A low positive can either mean a recent infection that is still building up antibodies, or a false positive caused by pre-existing HSV1 (wherever located, with or without symptoms). Did you have an outbreak, a swab to confirm herpes, any recent risky exposure? Were you also tested for HSV1, do you have a history of cold sores?
I have a history of cold sores from in my teens. Don't get them but every 5 years or I eat grapefruits. Yes I did have an outbreak which lasted about a week it did not look like any of the pictures but just this large open cut. It was painful like I mentioned in my last post it show up four day after having sex with my other half and immediately after I had steroid shots in my back . Once the sore heal I got really sick for one day sinus headache almost like my body was fighting off a cold no fever but stuffy nose.

Sorry if I can't recall your other post, as I have read so many on here! Did you get the cut/outbreak swabbed for herpes? That is the test to do when symptoms are present. Your flu-like symptoms occurred after the outbreak, so seems unrelated. You would normally expect it at the same time, while you're fighting off the virus at its peak.
