i have been having these from time to time, no headache, opticiam says scintillating scotoma - i notice more frequent since on mirtazapine. Anyone else get ocular aura?
How old are you? How often you get these? Any other problems?
I'm 25 year old male, started getting scintillating scotoma since I was like 15-16. First it was like once a year, but now it seems to be 1-2 every couple of months. No headache afterwards or maybe just a minor one. Seems to happen mostly when I'm working on a PC.
I am over 60 and this only started when i went on antidepressants. I think they are the trigger so have cut dose down. They come in batches, sometimes none for six months then a few usually after increses medication. Like you, no migraine and it passes in about 20 mins
I have also had these. Not too often they usually go away in 20 minutes. My eye doctor said they are a eye migraine . I don't like them and usually just go lie down.
