Retrograde Ejaculation and Holep, Turp

I found a few articles about modified techniques for holep and turp that preserve the bladder neck and reduce the incidence of retrograde ejaculation. I tried posting this in the past and I don't think it was accepted by the moderator for who knows what reason. Maybe they don't allow links in posts? It would be nice for them to send a message when they block a post with the reason why. Here are the titles that you could enter in the search engine to find the articles: "Transurethral resection of the prostate with preservation of the bladder neck decreases postoperative retrograde ejaculation" "Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate by a en-bloc and bladder neck preserved technique" "Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate: Modified Two-Lobe Technique versus Traditional Three-Lobe Technique—A Randomized Study"

I had turp surgery on 15th June..I originally thought I was having R e but now it appears to be getting back to normal and I am ejaculating normally albeit less than in the past…I haven`t been that active in the sex dept for a few months so it could be that making things a bit hesitant. I am slowly getting my confidence back and my wife is happy to oblige.

I saw that on the New York urology site but they say if you want to preserve retrograde ejackulation you won’t get the full uren traetmant benefits of a better flow and less voiding.AT least with turp and pvp they give you an option.

There is at least one study out there that compared Qmax and IPSS for patients who had EP TURPs versus those who had non-EP TURPs and the term they used was the EP TURP was “non-inferior” to traditional TURP in terms of efficacy. That’s another way of saying it may have been a few percent less effective but who cares? Good enough is good enough.
