Rezum procedure and dry ejaculation

I am 2 months out from having the Rezum procedure, My ability to go to the bathroom is alot better but I still experience getting up many times during the night, the feeling I cannot always completely empty my bladder, and urgency. My biggest concern is the dry ejaculation, nothing comes out. the Urologist says give it another month and it should return, Anyone else have an experience with this???

I too am experiencing “dry runs”. Not sure if age (76) is the natural outcome. The PAE last year went well. Am due to see urologist this week. My GP confirms that my high blood pressure could be the cause

Retro-ejaculation is one of the possible side effects of Rezum. You should have been warned of that or researched possible side effects first. Lots of tissue gets destroyed by the steam.

Thx , I knew a possibility, but that the chances were low. Doc only did 5 blasts to reduce risk.. Just wondered if he was pulling my leg telling me to give it 3 months to come back. Im 59 john

Its more likely that its an imprecise science so your doc was hoping for the best. TBH from what I’ve read, its usually the other way. That is some people do not have RE immediately after rezum but do a few months on as tissue continues to die off. Therefore I’d say if you are dry now, it will likely continue that way.
Where was the procedure done? Just country if you don’t want to name the establishment.

Hi, Thx for the reply. I am not happy about it, thats for sure but at least i can pee now. It was done at Z Urology in Coral Springs, Florida

Had my Rezum procedure in Nov 2018. I also had dry ejaculation most of the time. I was told there was a 3% probability. It will depend on the number and location of injection spots you receive.

Thx for reply, I had 5 injections, the urologist said that would lower the risk of this happening. Thx John
