I had the Rezum procedure done in July 2020. I went through extensive testing months before the procedure to determine if this was the best procedure to cure my enlarged prostate. The procedure was done in the doctors office in a surgical suite. The only medication given was percaset an hour before the procedure and liadacane in the urethra . I was steamed 4 times and it was very painful. If I could redo over again, I would ask to be put to sleep. Catheter for 6 days after procedure. 6-8 months to full results. Went from urinating 5 times a night to 1-2 times a night. Prostate smaller now. Seaman flow is less, no effect on erection, no effect on orgasim. Would highly recommend Rezum procedure over Urolift , and most definitely over the conventional long time prostrate reduction methods where you will 100% lose the ability to ejaculate and have an orgasim.
John I’m happy that it worked for you but you were one of the lucky ones, Your seaman flow is less but you don’t know if it is the size of your prostate or from the procedure blocking some of the ejaculatory ducks. I hope it stays that way.It happens more then you know. I have been keeping track over the last 4 year of the results. Out of the 108 men that had it done only 45 % saw improvement and 82 ended up with retro.
I have had a Urologist for almost 8 years he and is partner would not even let the rep come and talk to them about it because of the damage it does to the prostate tissue. To fix that damage you have to have a Turp. I would never take that chance. I know 10 men that had it done
I had the Urolift done over 7 years ago 4 clips no side effects and I was good to go in a week after the catheter came out. Still open.
Each man has the right to any treatment he thinks will be right but you never know until it is done.
I hope you stay the way you are. Good luck
