Rib Pain with Hot flashes

Has anyone gotten a hot flash and it brings a rib pain with it?? This is really concerning me.. It hurts 😥

Yes Mary the pain is terrible I can't describe it.

I doo too get that pain around my rib, just under my breats😞

When my burning starts I get all kinds of things with it. Could be rib pain, shoulder pain, back, head, also I’ll get pangs of depression or anxiety too. All only last as long as the burning. But when you are getting multiple flashes in a day and night it is pretty debilitating.

I just took paracetamol.

It hurts so much! I cannot breath..the pain is radiating to the back.

I am on 2 day of cycle, why I get this?

Hi Suzanne. ..do you you mean burning as in a hot flash? The hot flash is brings the rib pain is all at once. Though the rib pain happens along too, I've been suffering with rib pain for the past two weeks.. The pain is on both side and upper back. I am so worn out from this perimenopause it is literally scaring me. Im consumed with health anxiety ..i feel so physically , mentally weak and defeated. 😩

I have burning sensations but don’t break out in a sweat. But when it happens all the other pains go with it. I agree, it’s awful. However, since I’m resigned to the fact that it’s all peri related, I can deal with it. I used to be really scared, going from doctor to doctor trying to find out what’s wrong, and the health anxiety can make everything worse. I totally crashed and burned. I’m two years in now, and like I said, things are starting to ease up. I no longer panic when I get these wacky symptoms, I know they will pass.

Evi, make sure there’s nothing else going on, like gall bladder attack.

But if it helps, I had bad rib pain and awful awful pain in my back next to my left shoulder blade, this lasted over a year. I wasn’t able to take Advil because of gastritis so just suffered. I hope yours will get better soon.

Thank u Suzanne for your interest

I know it is due to my chaotically imbalanced hormones ..

I have been many times to ER because of this and nothing wrong.

I feel this certain times of month for many years ..It is absolutely scary!

I pray wholeheartedly to God for help. For a miracle. I have in my hands the icons of Jesus and Virgin and I am praying. No one else could help me. I count only on Him

I am  better now after taking paracetamol. Luckily I avoid taking  Xanax

Suzanne I have no sweat either..only a burning sensation..i try not to panick but it's hard. This is a new symptom of having the pain with it..i was having the flushes but not with pain. As a matter of fact, since seeing my new alternative dr. my symptoms had lessen up, i was feeling fairly well again and as soon as my naturopath started my cleanses especially the liver..it woke up everything. I mean literally everything. I m having cramps in uterus, back, liver and gallbladder area, etc. Its like my body is trying hard to have a period . I haven't had one since May. He said my body seem to be in a state of confusion. Yes im sure it is.. Now i regret doing the cleanses. I just stopped everything because it's too much right now.

Evi75119 This would be my period time too.. But no period, I havent had one since May and it came on twice then. I'm thinking that could be why I feel the aching ribs. I have no idea why it does this. I've felt so much on my bones and muscles trying to determine where is it coming from but can't ..i guess it's peri..the hormones. Yesterday I tried taking pain meds it didn't help..only briefly. Nothing I seem to do would help. I just wanted to be knocked out to keep from feeling it. I hope you start to feel better.

Hi again,

I suppose that it may be from the imbalance to the ratio between higher progesterone and  very low estradiol.

In my case, it is happening during the PMS week and now while I am on period.

It is extremely frightening, I cannot breath at all. It is hurting very much

Indeed, painkiller helped for some hours but without paracetamol I would have die from the pain.

I have it now again a little milder...Maybe I need one more paracetamol in order to sleep.

Hope feel better too!

Good night!

Mary you stated your body is in a state of confusion. No your doctor is in a state of confusion. Being that he haven't a clue of the female meno symptoms. Pains that you mentioned I have them and much more.

So Marjorie94005 you mentioned you have these type of pain? Do you have the all over back pain? I just got from church and boy oh boy my back was hurting me almost the whole time. Out of all places! The past few nights it been hard to sleep. Is your pain basically all day? What do you do for it?

Marjorie I think my dr meant by body beibg in a state of confusion ..because he had got my symptoms under control by treati g my adrenals, thyroid, candida, etc. All of a sudden out of the blue this month close to period time these aches and pain started up. I havent dealt with this for a while.. But since he started cleansing especially the liver ..the symptoms seem to return like....like a period wants to come and i havent had one since May.

I just sit down and bend over. It releases the pain a bit. I usually take Doan pills they work great.

Mary this back pain is awful. Also I lay lay on my stomach and raise my foot towards my behind it stretches it as well. Also as I raise my foot to my behind I have my husband to firmly squeeze it, and I also feel the pain that gas traveled to my butt.

Marjorie how interesting that you mentioned gas, because sometimes it feels like it's gas pains just moving around. I just finished eating steamed green beans, roasted mixed veggies and roasted chicken. Ok, eating the veggies I were fine until i ate the chicken and pain in the back started shooting all over and lower back hurting and I did pass gas with it. Could it be food allergies, gas, hormones?? I just don't know..but like you said it is painful.

It was in the ribs alot but that seem to lessen some...

Mary, get someone baking soda. Mix half teaspoon with water. Within minutes you will belch, fast, or poop. It will release the pain. Just drink it straight down. You'll feel much better.
