Reading your discussion leads me to tell my story. At eight I found I was constipated a lot of the time. Everyone said eat more ruffage however due to my life being effected I put myself on laxitatives and despite my GP warning me I was doing myself harm I took them through to forty. This did'nt cure my problem but helped me cope. My family history is full of like ailments. My Father passed away with bowel cancer having had one ressection operation and survived till Eighty-five. I was advised to have colonoscopy every four years. I had an illergic reaction to one of these ended up with admission to hospital suspected appendicitis which calmed down so was released. I have had recurrent pain/throbbing in my right groin no obvious apendercitis despite ultrasound. I have had recurrent pneumonia blood test have indicated autoimmune disease I need to have a CT scan which I have not done as yet.
I think the body responds in all sorts of ways to external situations. Look at life style/stress. Eat only fresh foods and cut out anything immediately if cause any symptoms. Find an activity you can totally switch off to.
Last year I walked 400 miles approx for fun. Three months ago I had a sore foot which turned out to be a vein issue and now it has travelled all the way up my leg to over my knee and halfway to my groin. I am pain now if I walk one mile. I was fit and healthy apart from IBS and now my body seems to be intent on attacking me. I have no idea what is going on.
Hi there,
I also sometimes have this pain too, its not a sharp pain, feels like more ive pulled something? My doctor felt the area back in november and assured me my appendix wasnt inflamed which gave me relief. I do tend to find that if I eat a big meal, sometimes a few hours later i get this mild pain, so i think its because i eat too much and my body is just trying to digest it all!
I am so sad to hear about your father. I lost mine too due to lung cancer..all the cancer tests for his lung came back negative.. however they still diagnosed it as cancer... I missed him a lot..my mother too passed away just last january due to thyroid cancer..so you see you are not the only one who has family with ailments..we also have asthma running in the father side..Last month went out to check out my right pain in the ovary.it went back normal..though I already have polycystic righ ovary eversince, and hormonal imbalance..but tests results say that i should not worry. I feel heavy in the lower abdominal area..I almost can't walk for 2 days that time..so i went for a check up.. I took natural alternative for my digestive system and I gave out a very loud and loooong gas.. and I felt the immediate relief.. the lower abdominal pain was actually due to the lump of air pressing doen on my bladder area.. your pain may be originating from somewhere.. have the tests that you need to undergo.. will be very happy to read your results.. hope it will turn out okay.all the best!
Thank you much Sara.i am deeply sorry for your battle with your ailments and pain.may you continue to be strong. I agree that the body reacts in many ways.some in horrible ways.mine came from a hernia op I had seems my body has not done aswell as some that have had it done.which leads me back to my ibs. because of it when I bloat.my colon pushes on a nerve where I had the op.which then sends the pain down my leg.then my back starts to ache.it is a whole host of issues that my body is experiencing.that leads to my depression and anxiety.it is a cruel circle.i try to get by and be active as I can and not let it win.it is a tuff battle as you know.i wish you all the best. Josh.
