I’m interested to know if I have a right to tell my boss that I refuse to work with individuals who refuse to have the vaccine even after having it myself?
Vaccine passports for international travel seems inevitable. If it is shown that the vaccine does prevent serious illness from covid 19, then if you have had the vaccination then the risk to yourself is reduced. A flu vaccination annually has always been advisable, however, not obligatory. Influenza has always been a serious illness for the elderly and medically vulnerable. It is in a businesses interest to encourage vaccinations for obvious reasons, but no, I do not believe you have a right to refuse in this manner.
Well to be honest FitnessCoach with our work load at present he would make any excuse so as to justify why we need to work together regardless to some individual who decides not to have the jab.
if your vaccinated your probably safe or you can get a weak version of covid. I would just make sure I wear my mask around unvaxxed people
You are in safe if you get vaccinated, don`t be afraid about it.
no i dont think so. but the unvaccinated are more likely at risk than you are. you can still catch covid and likely have no symptoms so you wont know if youre passing it on. asymptomatic covid cases among the non vaccinated happen but we are not sure at what percentage. i think if the unvaccinated people in your workplace had covid they will more likely know - as they will have symptoms, so they would know to issolate.
Yes you have the right and I think you should, maybe after this they might go for vaccination to protect themselves as well as the people around them.
After receiving both vaccines some time ago, I returned to work for one afternoon per week and despite everyone being double vaccinated, I now have coronavirus. I believe i got infected from there. Despite all staff wearing masks and hand sanitising etc I became infected. Further, although ‘mild’ might be taken to mean slight symptoms, I have been very ill for a week now in bed plus my 2 adult daughters got it from me and we are all having horrible symptoms at home … The only comfort I imagine is that I may have been worse had I not had the vaccine. So, even if you insist your colleagues are vaccinated, they can still carry the virus and infect others.
I don’t think it has become a right, but yes, you can surely talk about this with your colleagues and boss.
I think you should convince your fellow employees first, if they don’t agree then you should talk with your boss because at last safety of ourselves and of our health is the foremost priority.
