Just wondering instead of taking suppressive pills everyday, would it lower the risk of passing the virus to my partner if i start taking it a day or a few days before sex.
Hi
I don't know the answer to your question but I really need to speak to someone that has the same condition. I have just been diagnosed. I've had blisters now for about 6 days and I've been on medication for about 4 I'm so sore and uncomfortable. How long does this last?
No, the meds need to be in your system for five consecutive days before taking full suppressive effect.
The longer the medications are in your system the better off your going to be. I honestly don't think that one day on medication will do anything. The best thing you can do is to educate yourself, read everything you can get your hands on, talk to medical professionals. Ask questions. We are here for you.
Thank you. Problem is I kind of suspect medication is what triggered it. I've never taken suppressive pills and don't get outbreaks often but one week after I took it. I've had 2 outbreaks in a month. I know it makes no sense but it's just too much of a coincidence.
Sigh..and that means taking it long term. Anyway thank you
