Don't want to make the text so long, risperidone was given to me for the disorganized toughts I have. I was taking it at minimal doses (0.5mg) and it was working very well, but I had to stop taking it because of adverse effects and stuff and my "tought flow" is scrambled again. Does any of you also take some antipsychotic for this? I've read about olnzapine but im affraid of sedation.
Hi Casey Olanzapine worked really well for my son at 7.5 he was not sedated he was the best he has been until they changed him to dsepot now he is in hospital give it a try oral meds of course good luck katy
Thanks for your answer, katy! Just for curiosity, how old is your son? I think age may influence the sedation effect since my old pdoc used 2-3mg for children. Hope he gets out of hospital soon
he was on it from 16 to 29 hope this helps he is now 30 started on 15 that did make him tired but 7.5 was fine and held symptoms at bay katy
