Hello,
About a year back ( 14 months ) i got a cavity filled, according to my dentist it were not very bad or deep. he filled it in few mins with silver filling.
And now after a year later it hurts when i eat from left side, its not very bad
1) it only hurt when the food is hard, like a hard meat and then the pain last for 2 hours to 24 hours and then vanish itself
2) its not to bad if i use my right side for hard food and both side for normal food it don't hurt.
i went to the dentist and he said the cavity which were filled a year back have gone deep and a root canal treatment is required but i have heard that when the cavity is that deep it hurt a lot which is not the case for now.
Then i went to another dentist just for the 2nd opinion and the 2nd dentist said not just that one which were filled but also the tooth next to it booth need root canal treatment and both need crown and estimated a looong bill, tooth next to the filled tooth is as bad as the filled tooth were a little shocking for me, so i went to another dentist because i were confused.
So the 3rd dentist said filled tooth need refilling, he will remove the old filling and fill it again, that's it. and on asking he also said tooth next to the filled tooth on both sides are perfectly fine.So i am more confuse now.
I am sharing my xrays, the 1st one (wider full mouth one) is a year old before the filling and the 2nd one is a week old (white spot is the filling)
Anyone can read the xray and help me out or should i go for the 4th dentist ?
Thank you.
