Rrrrrrrrr what next?

Soooooo with a crap weekend with the nausea and acid reflux today it's thrown somthing else at me

feeling very restless, cannot seem to concentrate on much.......what next?

why carnt we just have just 1normal day with no symptoms ?. Life sucks at the moment, just glad my 3kids are at school today feel rubbish agai! Not fair sometimes wished I was male?!!!.

hahaha  you are not alone in feeling that,

I also wish I had been born as a man giggle,  they have the easy life in this day and age lol

No don't wish you were a man. You're a woman - vastly superior But its true we have different challenges. Have you tried cutting out gluten? I had acid reflux a year ago and really didn't want to treat it with meds.

A nutritionist suggested I cut out gluten and the acid reflux stopped immediately. That might not be the issue in your case and for sure its not wonderful giving up bread, pasta etc but for me it worked and is worth being free of acid reflux. Plus I felt I was controling my body again (something that is not easy in peri)

Maybe its worth trying for a week? You should know quite soon if it is gluten that is causing the problem.

Good luck

Hi Shelly, the same here did not sleep well when I did drop off get feeling weird in the stomach, got went to the bank walking all weird too, I wish could find something to calm my mind, from the bed to the sofA I want to meet people and get on why is it so hard in peri.

Please try flax about two heaping tablespoons of flaxmeal in yogurt or cereal.   I had similar symptoms and it balanced my hormones within two or three days.    Take care.

Thaks for your reply.

soooo this about cutting gluten out of a diet, what foods is then? I do love my bread and pasta ( only occasionally have pasta as in spaghetti bolognise) this wouldn't be a problem giving up ..... Bread I only have few times a week as in for sandwiches!

what food then, think I'd defiantly give this a go? How do I start? So am I looking at gluten free foods then? Aren't they a lot more expensive?

where are these foods purchased from?.

Thanks Victoria.

Hi Maria,

It sucks this bloody peri lark, since entering its been one thing after another!

our body's are going through so many new changes yes agree sucks........just want my old life back!!.

The main foods with gluten are bread/pasta/cakes/biscuits. Things with wheat in them. Gluten is also hidden in quite of lot of sauces/soy sauce etc but to be honest if you cut out the main things you should be doing quite well that should already be 90% of the foods.

I live in France and the gluten free pasta/breads is awful so I rather go without but if you live in the UK M&S do quite a nice gluten free seed bread (I try to stock up when I come over). I have yet to find a nice gluten free pasta - they all taste like cardboard to me.

Hi trish yes I'm going to back on that with maganisum.b6 see what happens.

hi Trish, I will give anything new a try.

what exactley is flax meal?

Do you get this from health food shops?

i have heard about Ginger helping also with acid reflux going to give this a go to!! LOL give anything a go if it helps!! Thanks Hun.

Looks a lot like wheat germ and comes from a seed.   Sold at health food shops.    Much relief from this!    Good luck with it!

Yea, I know what you mean. I don't know what having a good night's sleep is anymore and sleeping through the night! I wake up feeling so tired. Yea, guys definitely have it easier! I sit and watch my husband eat whatever he wants...however much he wants and it doesn't ever seem to affect him. He had his colonoscopy not that long ago and I thought for sure they were going to find a polyp like the last time but thankfully he got a clean bill of health but it didn't make sense because of his diet and being overweight. God's hand was on this one!

I have been down the road of no gluten and you are right on. I did feel a lot better but gluten is in so much of our food! The problem that I had is that although I realize that as we age, we become more intolerant of wheat and dairy, but the alternative to a wheat based product (gluten) is rice...well...what is in rice? Arscenic! Look it up on the net. Rice is grown in soil and Arscenic is natural in the soil so what does one do? With irritable bowel, fruits and veggies aren't always the answer so what do you do? It's all just SOOO frustrating.
