Rubber Band Ligation, questions on healing

Hello I had my first banding done one week ago today. It was on a prolapsing internal. It wasn't causing me much issue other than it started hanging out one night and didn't seem to go back. After three weeks of that i decided to try banding, although in hindsight a few days prior to the appointment i contemplated holding off as it felt like it was slowly shrinking back with all the things i was doing for it. Currently, it seems to be staying in post procedure. There was very light blood the next day so im assuming the band felt off somewhere in the first 1 - 3 days. I was very clinched up the first two days so BMs werent really happening. Due to all the fiber and water i had a very large stool on day 4 that while softish, took a lot of effort and ended up irritating another hemorrhoid. So having a BM has been challenging, and the build up keeps adding pressure. My question is, when you read anything online, its the same copy and pasted info over and over. Which usually describes it as the band and hemorrhoid falling off in a week or less. Its not very descriptive beyond that nor does it say it could take longer. I am fine being patient if its working but how do you know whats happening? the doctor hardly said anything other than what you read online. He didn't really prepare me for the details of what occurs. Does anyone have experience with this that ended up positive but took time, such as more than 10 days? It just seems like there is a lack of good info on the subject, its just a very basic description of what RBL is, very little detailed info. You would think everything written on medical sites is by people who have never experienced these things. And all i keep reading is "water and fiber" ok but, if you are healing down there how does big bulky stools help that? seems flawed.
