Sacral Herpes (butt + back) x Gential Herpes is there a difference?

I’ve had genial herpes for 11 years that only presented itself on my labia (inner lady lips).

However last year..
After sex from behind with a new partner, sex which was also non - consensual due to him taking the condom off, I noticed for the first time in my life, lesions inside my butt cheek.

Now I did get a lot of stress from this experience, but I have experienced stress once before, during this 11 year period and never had anything appear on my buttocks.

So for this reason I think there could very well be a difference. However at present perhaps there isn’t a way to identify on paper. At least this is the word from my general practitioner.

Sacral Herpes x Gential Herpes is there a difference?

Have you experienced or heard of there being a difference biologically?

I think it will be clearer as medicine in this field develops/makes public the micro differences in the near future.

But I wonder if anyone had the same thoughts or experiences..

were you diagnosed with genital hsv1 or hsv2 and how many outbreaks a year have you been having?

have a blood test for HSV antibodies and see if you test postive for HSV 1 & 2 now. Maybe he has HSV1 and you had HSV2. Outbreaks can move too. I get mine at the top of my crack but postpartum it was everywhere due to all the trauma and stress.
