Hi, me again! what would we do without this forum???
Well, had my 6 week follow up, consultant was really pleased with my progress, but I mentioned that I have a pinching sensation in the middle of my buttock - on examination he told me it's because my sacroiliac has arthritis and has moved due to the new hip. The pain may go with special exercises, but may not! anyone else had this problem?

Hhhmmm .. I still have pain but I think it is my psoas that is not fit enough (too much sitting). I look forward to hearing from others to hear their advice to you
I sure hope this resolves - can i say: it would suck if this is a long term issue?

Hi am in UK. I have exactly the same problem? Making a sleeping position on your back difficult. I am seeing GP next week to review this. I can't see any other replies? Take care Julie
Hi Julie, mine was actually diagnosed by the consultant who did my hip and it clearly showed on the x-ray. Apparently it's very common after thr's as your spine and pelvis need to realign after a leg length is altered. I've been given extra exercises for it which I have to say are making it worse at the moment, but will wait and see. If it doesn't resolve itself there are minor surgical procedures which can help. Fingers crossed we resolve the problems with time, let me know how you get on. Best of luck, it's miserable swapping one pain for another, Janine x
