I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis about 10 years ago and have been asymptomatic. Reading all of your posts, I didn't realize how fortunate I have been. Off and on, I have had "floaters" in my eyes. I just thought it was normal. Four days ago I started seeing distrint black dots. They morphed into snake shaped blurry areas in one eye. I have an appointment with my ophthalmologist next week. Just wondering if anyone else has had this and, if so, what was done for you. Did it help? I'm a 60-year young active female. Thanks!

Your desciption doesnt sound like a sarcoidosis problem and is most likely due to posterior vitreous detachment, more info here https://patient.info/doctor/vitreous-detachment
You do need someone professional to look in your eye asap to rule out more serious problems.

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis two years. I was told I needed regular eye tests and xray of my lungs. I saw the eye specialist last week and he said I have floaters (posterior vitreous detachment) He never once mentioned whether it was linked to Sarcoid or my medication. He actually said it was an age thing. I was 51 two weeks ago. Now I wonder, if this is just coincidental.

I have the same exact problem with my eye. Thats how i found out i have sarcoids. I ended up going to a retinal spcialist and he pretty much told me if i dont want surgery ill meed to live eith the floaters and black cob webs
The eye doctor said I had a retinal tear, that he didn't think was related to Sarcoidosis. He did laser surgery around the tear to stop further injury. Most of the floaters have calmed down but he said I may have issues in the future. Not sure if this helps anyone else or if you have different experiences.

I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 1994, and I have a chronic case which doesn't go away. I recently also have been having floaters and it is very disrupting of your vision. I blink a lot trying to clear my vision. One started last year in my left eye and now this one started two weeks ago in my right eye. I have an appointment with my eye doc next week as well. I will let you know the results I get afterward. But you are not alone. Good luck!
Hi Pat--I was told to "live with it" because the surgery is a bit risky. I can see over mine but like you, I now have them in both eyes. I am 69, and was just diagnosed a few days ago. I've got floaters around my heart and a growth between my lungs and heart. Just doing blood tests this coming week. I am asymtomatic except for a little pressure in my chest. I do not know anyone who knows anything about this.
