hi a question out of the box. a member of mu family has been diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma and it looks like its spread to the hips. has anyone heard of a hip replacement to remove the joint with the sarcoma? were in uk but would appreciate comments from anywhere
thankyou
To be honest I have never heard of hip replacement being a treatment for soft tissue sarcoma and because its not a bone cancer I’m not sure it would help but I’m not 100-percent certain.
Because it’s spread to the hips means it’s gone into the surrounding tissue which I would imagine will be treated with chemotherapy or/and radiotherapy.
I hope things improve sending God’s blessings
Are you saying it is being suggested their hip should be replaced for the sarcoma? I think I would ask the surgeon for more information.
