There's a sauna at my golf club and thought it would be great to have half an hour in it after a swim. Then I remember that a chain I used to wear used to get very hot in a sauna and burnt my skin.
has anyone been in a sauna after a metal replacement and had any bad effects. The thought of getting burnt inside out worries me a bit
I am willing to put money on folks with THR is really hot countries (which may be hotter than a suana). Also, I am certain that people with metal pins go to saunas. So on reflection, I am convinced :-0 that it will be fine.
But what do I know. I am not a man of medicine - just an old biker.
I sauna with 2 new hips. If you stop and think about it then ... the implants are so deep inside your body that by the time they had heated up enough to hurt you the more external organs and skin layers would have been roasted to a crisp. I think breast implants are more at risk of exploding due to extremes of temperature
