Some context behind this post. When I was younger, I grew up in a nosy household and my parents often asked about why I had certain things in my room and such. So, I made a rather poor decision when I was younger and made the mistake of masturbating with shampoo as a teen once in the shower to not confront my parents (I am a 28M now so this was a decade ago). I ended up with a big scar around the shaft of my penis (friction burn probably but the physician did not say) that eventually healed with new skin underneath thanks to treatment (moisturizer mainly) from my general physician at the time. In case it's important, the fold of skin at the tip of my penis happened from an injury where my jeans zipper cut the tip of it and healed that way.
However, there is a "mark" around my circumcision scar. After the rest of my shaft healed from the brown scab (I did not forcefully peel it off), the area of that mark was stubborn and the scab would not come off. I made the mistake of peeling it off when it was loose and I was left with that mark underneath. I have not been sexually active since I was 23 and always used protection when I was active. I do not have any STDs either after my previous test a year after my last sexual activity.
Is that mark a cause for concern?
I do plan on booking an appointment with a specialist but who would I see (e.g., dermatologist)?
