Well saw my dr was very happy with my X-rays!! None had grown into stem & cup!! He had me slowly put weight, no problem, walk, well it felt weird but was able to walk. 6 weeks does wreak havoc on all your muscles, nerves, ect..... Found out to he did move my gluteus max so am having pain there but he says all will get better with strength training. Foot problems will get better, sitting in wheelchair in one position has hindered my circulation. All in all I believe this was a good day! I'm still scared to put weight on this leg.....now a new chapter of walking again!! It was a hard but I did it!! Thank be to God!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 and thank you all for all your support, advice, tips and love!! You all are great! 🤗🤗
Meant BONE has grown into cup & stem!!
Great news. Wishing you continued heeling and success to overcoming all that you can. PT is a big help as well as water pt.
Thank you Hope!! I'm happy and ready!! 🤓
Linda you will get stronger one day at a time. You have a great positive attitude and that is 90% . Heeling is a individual journey, more power and blessings sent your way.
I had a long time off my left leg after an accident, before the hip replacement, so I can fully appreciate how weird it feels to use that leg again. The feeling does pass, but for me it lasted a few days.
As the Dr has said you can use it, don't be scared to use it. Just be mindful of your limits and if it hurts to much, take it slower. You aren't in a race with anyone, it is just about healing the right way for you.
Yay linda smile fir yourself all day
These are happy moments during months of

Thank you!! I know. My brother said for me not to get over confident to take it easy! The best thing is no more wheelchair!!! Dr said to be aware of hip precautions. No BLT! After what I went through I plan to be careful. 🤓LD
Thanks Jo!! Yes it's a happy day!! Get that wheelchair outta here!!! I'm still a lil scared. But it's a blessing to me that I'm able to finally get around!! I know it's gonna be slow going but if I could do 6 weeks non weight bearing I can go slow with walking & therapy!! 😃😃. LD
Thanks Hope!! I will take this one day at a time!!! 😇🤓
After all you've been through, hearing this news is just so great!! Sounds like you've finally turned the corner on these hip problems. Stick with it and don't overdo it. You'll be fine in no time. Take care.
Very wise advice.
Thank you Patricia! Dr was happy that I followed his orders for these past 6 weeks and knows how hard it was but it did pay off! I cried like a baby these last few weeks almost every day several times a day!! But I've come this far and I know I'll be ok with lots of patience and caution. It was an experience to say the least!! LD
Oh Linda that is wonderful news! I am so happy for you, now for the rest of your recovery and hopefully some healing and being able to move and get around. I can just imagine how it must feel to try and step on that leg after not being allowed to for so long. Wishing you well....Barb
Yay - fab news honey. 👍😃. Take care x
Thanks Barbie!! Now to start working on these muscles and get this leg strong! And wake up this foot!! But with patience! All in due time! 🤗🤓. LD
Thanks Sarah!! Will do!! 🤓 LD
Thrilled for you! I am sure you will take it as easy as you need to to not tear anything! And it will take time for you to get back into shape. I read your post with great interest because, as you know, I'll be 20 pound weight-bearing for 6 - 8 weeks after my surgery. That's not as bad as NO weight bearing like what you had, but bad enough. Here's hoping you'll be over all these very difficult troubles soon.
Annie thanks! Prayers that you too will continue to heal!! Patience is the key!!
It is, and I have learned patience over the past 14 months. I am thinking that perhaps the only good thing about my odyssey over that time means that the 8 weeks of 20 lb weight-bearing and the recovery after that will seem like no time at all!
