for the past few days ive been having palpitations that seem to last a good while and they make me fele shaky and nervous. it gets worse when i am doing activities. when i sit down i still feel them it takes a while for it to slow down. i am 19 years old. i do not usually get chest pain (i have gerd so i get a few once in a blue moon). this came out of nowhere. i dont have any heart conditions or malfunctions known. everytime i present a new symptom to doctor everything is normal. whats going on.
Have you been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder? Are there any triggers you’ve noticed before getting them? what kind of activities make them worse.
yes i have but i am always in denial. i feel panicky shaky weak my body feels fatigue i am so scared currently at work dont want to pass out
hey what do your palpitations feel like? ive been having the same problem and its so scary but mine feel like my heart is fluttering and skipping beats for up to 10 seconds sometimes.
its anxiety vicious circle palpitations cause anxiety and anxiety causes more palpitations etc.
hold breath and push as if you are straining to go bathroom and palpitations will subside.
remember the palpitations are not going to hurt you. ride the roller coaster of palpitations and they will go away.. try 2 tbls of apple cider vinegar with mother 2x daily that helps too
Yeah I’ve definitely had spells like this too. It took a while, but you’ve really got to accept the diagnosis as anxiety and implement some techniques that change your perception of the situation.
Start with deep breathing exercises to ease the palpitations. Then look up CBT techniques online to help you…i find those which challenge thought processes to be the best with health concerns, such as a worry tree or the STOPP method.
i have PCV IT feels like a skipped beat. they can be harmless but is nice to have a doctor check them because now when i get them i remind myself it will not hurt me and i can deal much better. i would nor worry lots of people have them but when you have anxiety it puts you into panic and its horrible
how are you feeling
